A Fire-NOC Compliance Checklist for Commercial Buildings

Every commercial building in Telangana needs a Fire No-Objection Certificate before occupancy — and renewal inspections catch more buildings off guard than first-time ones. Here's what our engineers check before a client calls the Fire Department.

1. Hydrant & Sprinkler Pressure

Static and dynamic pressure at the farthest hydrant point is the single most common failure point. We test at the top floor first, since that's where pressure loss is most visible.

2. Fire Alarm Panel Zoning

Zones must map clearly to floor plans on display near the panel. Inspectors will trip a detector and time how fast the correct zone lights up.

3. Refuge Areas & Signage

Illuminated exit signage, refuge area markings and evacuation route clarity are checked on every floor — not just the ground level.

4. Fire Extinguisher Currency

Extinguisher tags need current inspection dates and correct classification (ABC/CO2/foam) for the hazard type in that zone.

5. Documentation on Site

Have your last AMC service report, hydrant test log and electrical safety certificate physically available — inspectors ask for these before touching a single valve.
